Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What kind of hangers do I need to use?
A. We accept any type of hanger - wire, plastic, etc. We just ask that they be size-appropriate so the clothes don't fall off.
Q. Can I use paper instead of cardstock?
A. We will accept paper tags, however, we much prefer cardstock. Paper tears more easily and we end up with more lost tags. We also ask that you use WHITE cardstock. It is much harder for the scanners to read the barcodes on colored cardstock and that slows down our check-out lines.
Q. How often do you have sales?
A. We have sales three times a year - once in March and once in July/August. *We have added a winter sale for the end of October
Q. How do I know if my item has been recalled?
A. Here are two link to important children's product safety websites.
www.cpsc.gov U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
www.nhtsa.gov National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
It is the goal of All About Kids that only safe products are offered to our customers. Therefore, we ask that each consignor carefully check to make sure none of their items have been recalled before bringing them to our sale. As the seller/owner of an item, it is the CONSIGNOR’S RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that each item meets the required safety standards.
Q. What charity receives the donated items?
A. We support IMPACT Ministry Family Resource Center of Eastern Jackson County as well as other ministries that present themselves with a valid need during that sale time period.
IMPACT is an assistance ministry based at First Baptist Church Blue Springs. IMPACT partners with other area churches, businesses, social service organizations and government agencies to serve community families. Their mission is to help meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of low-income families and individuals in crisis throughout eastern Jackson County.
Q. When can I view my sales from each day?
A. Daily sales files are uploaded each evening around 10:00 pm. Occasionally this is delayed due to high traffic which causes us to stay open late. We will be updating throughout the day. No set time has been established for this.
Q. When can I expect my check?
A. Checks are mailed no later than 2 weeks after the sale ends. However, they are often mailed earlier than that! *We are looking at ways to expedite this process for the consignor.
